Easton Official Wins CVx $10,000 Prize; Telecom for Change Reaches Goal

The inaugural stand-alone CVx EXPO came to an end in spectacular fashion, as Beka Business Media owner and founder Berge Kaprelian presented a $10,000 raffle prize to Easton Telecom Services Director of Sales and Marketing Jim Butler.

While Butler won the big money, two other attendees also were raffle winners. Daniel Noworatzky of TeleDynamics won the $500 third prize drawing, and Vidhi Vora of Uncode took the second prize of $1,000.

CVx EXPO22 opened on Nov. 2, with a golf tournament on the Talking Stick Resort Golf Course, which was played during a picture-perfect day. The tournament was followed by a three-hour reception on the exhibit floor.

A fast-moving winter storm wreaked havoc on Nov. 3, resulting in high winds, scattered rain and a temperature drop of around 15-degrees, which forced CVx exhibitors that had retained outside cabanas to seek indoor shelter. Despite the weather, attendees began receiving information through the two concurrent educational tracks that were scheduled during the morning.

On Nov. 4, more educational tracks were presented, including a special two-part deep dive into cybersecurity.

In the meantime, Telecom for Change raised $10,000 for AZ Cyber Initiative during CVx. Among the generous suppliers that made reaching its goal possible were: Beka Business Media, CoroCyolo, Granite Telecommunications, NextivaNTSDirect and VoIP Supply.
The AZ Cyber Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to unlocking career opportunities for Arizona students who are interested in cybersecurity as well as other information technology (IT) disciplines.

The organization offers programs designed to help students achieve their personal goals, as it aims to create chances for Arizona high school students to receive the inspiration, training and support they need to pursue careers in cybersecurity and related fields through scholarships, internships, mentorships and cyber boot camps.

Although it reached its goal during CVx, it continues to welcome donations at https://lnkd.in/ghiDyB3e
