CVx Wraps Up Partner Event, Builds Momentum Toward 2024

CVx EXPO and ChannelVision Magazine recently concluded its successful sophomore channel partner conference and expo, building on the momentum of the inaugural standalone event in 2022, and is now moving full steam ahead toward an even stronger CVxEXPO 2024 next November 12-14, at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. Registration numbers this year blew away last year’s totals, and CVxEXPO23 hosted nearly a third more attendee/partners than the 2022 event.

“We received almost exclusively positive feedback and reviews from our exhibitors, attendees, sponsors and speakers, and that’s what’s most important,” said Berge Kaprelian, president and CEO Beka Business Media, which produces CVx. “Re-ups are near 100 percent, and now our attention turns to taking that feedback and making CVxEXPO24 an even better, more intimate event for the channel community.”

The event kicked off Tuesday morning with the CVx Annual Golf Opening, a nine-hole tournament sponsored by Telesystem held on-site at the Talking Stick Golf Club. After the round of golf under ideal weather, two foursomes tied for the top honors, splitting the first-place prize money, while Jessica Vrbanoff, channel manager for GigTel, blasted the longest drive (sponsored by Windstream Enterprise) and Jim Hetzel, director of sales engineering, FirstComm, won the prize for closest to the pin (sponsored by SNOM). See the complete lists of winning foursomes below.

The golf tournament was followed by the first of two days of 20 concurrent educational sessions, capped off by a standing-room only keynote session by Telarus vice president of sales and marketing, and channel luminary, Tim Basa. The keynote audience was treated to Basa’s fast-paced, humor-filled presentation filled with actionable tips and practical advice designed to help sales pros make and exceed their numbers in the coming year.

“Tim killed it,” said just about everyone at that the expo hall opening reception, which immediately followed the keynote.

Basa ‘delivers’ the keynote.

“So much thanks go to Tim and all the speakers who helped us keep our promise to deliver a curated schedule of panels and discussions that are light on marketing blather and heavy on productive dialogues, real-world sale experiences, sales strategies and expert training,” said Martin Vilaboy, Beka Business Media editorial director.

CVx expo hall features more than 120 exhibiting booth spaces plus plenty of complimentary food, drinks and giveaways.

The three-day expo hall played host to more than 120 exhibitor booths, where vendors demoed and displayed the key communications, connectivity and network services that are driving the digital transformation. Among the exhibitors was Tech4Change, a channel-community organization that raises money for local charities. With the help of CVx exhibitors plus matching funds from Kaprelian and Beka, Tech4Change raised $5,000 for Hope + A Future, a non-profit organization that assists Arizona foster children.

After Wednesday’s expo hall hours, CVx attendees were treated to a series of unique social networking opportunities. These Partner-Vendor Meet-Ups included an evening at Top Golf (sponsored by Rev.io), High Octane e-Cart Racing (sponsored by FirstComm) and a Boutique Bowling Night (sponsored by EarthLink). For the 2024 event, CVx looks add a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament, Adult Mini-Golf Tournament and a Pickleball Tournament to its roster of partner meet-ups. Those interested in sponsoring a meet-up can contact CVx at berge@bekabusinessmedia.com.

The CVx channel community invaded Scottsdale hotspots for a series of Partner-Vendor Meet-ups.
